What this is
This is not a portfolio. It is not a movie database. It is not another Letterboxd.
It is closer to a digital notebook kept by someone who fell in love with cinema and decided to pay proper attention to it. Everything published here has to teach one idea, ask one question, or document one thing that was learned. Nothing exists for search engines, and nothing exists just to keep a posting schedule.
On ratings
There are none, and there won’t be. A score is a verdict, and a verdict ends a conversation that is usually more interesting left open. The goal here is not to judge films. It is to understand them.
On tone
Never pretending to know everything. Never sounding elitist. Never writing to impress. The only good reason to publish something here is having genuinely noticed it.
Someone should be able to spend hours reading this and leave wanting to watch more films. That is success — not page views, not likes, not followers.
Who writes it
A student of cinema, writing as @cineholic07. Watching films, sitting with them, and trying to understand what makes a scene, a performance, a cut, or a story stay with us.
